Hill Air Force Base Air Show

One thing that our family likes is airplanes.  We were so excited to hear that there was an airshow in Roy, Utah that we were able to attend.  We left early in the morning and headed to the airshow.  We filled our bellies full of yummy food at IHOP.  We were lucky when we got to the airshow to get handicapped parking.  I tore my hip abducter and haven't been able to walk very good so I have been using my Grandma's handicapped permit.  It does come in handy every once in awhile.  I also had to be pushed in a wheelchair around the air show.  Davy was a great sport and was a perfect taxi driver for me.

When we first got to the airshow it was a little cold and cloudy.  We were so excited for the show to start.  The first thing we saw was the red bull jumping team.  They came out holding the American flag.  It was awesome.  We were able to see several other airplanes and then we got a not very sweet surprise.  RAIN.  Davly was great and started to make garbage sacks raincoats for all of us.  We were not going to go anywhere because we are true fans but after the rain started to poor and they cancelled the airshow for several hours we decided to make a run for cover.  The only problem was that everyone else was running for cover.  We finally were able to find cover in our car.  Julianne and Jeff and their family also found cover in our car too.  It was a packed car.

We were so excited when the rain went away.  Davy and Brett hurried out of the car and headed to the show to secure us a place for the remainder of the show.  We spent another three hours at the show even though it was a very cold day.  We were excited because we were able to see the Thunderbirds perform.  We love watching their show.  Westley, Olya, Stephen and Sander also came to watch the show.  Bronco even fell asleep on his dad's shoulder. We had alot of fun.  We went and ate at a hamburger place on the way home.
