Crazy Imagination

My kids have crazy imaginations especially my Brett.  He loves to come up with all kinds of different things to do and make.  I was going to bed last night when I noticed where Brett and Bronco were sleeping.  They had three beds stacked up on top of each other and cuddled up together to sleep through the night.  Brett is really good about sharing a bed with Bronco and cuddling him every night.  I love these two boys so much so after I took the picture I made sure there was enough padding around the beds in case they were to fall.

Chess Tournament

Brett loves to play chess so I singed him up for the Pleasant Grove Chess Tournament.  He was pretty excited about it.  The tournament started at 8:30 and did not get over until 4:00.  He did not know anyone at the tournament so that was kind of hard for him.  The tournament was mostly made up of asian kids.  Brett won two games and lost two.  I asked him who he lost to and it was the Asian kids.  He told me that they were so smart that he didn't even know when they made a move.  So at the awards ceremony only two kids out of 16 were white the rest were Asian.  Brett and I just laughed about it afterwards.  He was definately imperssed with how smart they were.  After the tournament he informed me that he has no desire t play chess for a long time.  I love that he totally was willing to try something new.  Brett is very competitive and that is a good quality to have.

Date Night

Dave and I had the best date on Tuesday night.  My sister Julianne babysat the kids and grandma and off we went.  Dave is really nice and lets me decide on what we are going to do.  I decieded that we should go bowling and then out for dinner.  We bowled two different games and it was so much fun.  We got through the games pretty fast because we didn't have children fighting over whose turn it was to bowl.  Dave won the first game and then I suprisingly won the second game.  We then went to 5 guys burgers and had a very yummy hamburger.  We were able to eat outside and look up at the beautiful Provo mountains.  It felt so good to be ouside in the nice cool weather.  We then walked around the strip mall and did some shopping at Desert Bookstore.  We then decided it was time for ice cream so we stopped off at the Farr's icecream shop.  Oh it was so yummy.  Dave suggested that he wasn't ready to go home yet and that we take a drive up to the canyon.  This was such a fun date being able to spend time with each other and enjoy the nice cool weather.  Thanks for the date lover buns and thanks to Julianne for babysitting.

My kids love their uncle Spencer.  Spencer was in town for a day and we were able to meet up with him for some yummy breakfast at Kneaders.  The kids were so excited to see him and they all had to sit by him.  That was nice for me because I had my own table all to myself.  I am so glad that he is such a good uncle to them.  They love you Spencer.  (By the way that is not the best picture of Spencer).

It's Garden time

Going to the Park with Cousins

It has been such nice weather here in Pleasant Grove that we headed to the park for some fun with our cousins.

Maysa loves Tallon.  She can't stand it when he is put down.  She is going to be a great helper when our baby comes.

Julianne had a great idea for the kids to have leap frog races.  They thought it was so fun and were great sports about it.  I think that we will be going to the park alot this summer.  The kids burn off so much energy and they love being outdoors.

Our New Trampoline

Our kids have been wanting a trampoline forever.  I keep holding them off by telling them that we will get one when we can put it in the ground.  Well, last week the kids one the battle.  Davy, Bronco and Brett all headed out on the town to find the perfect trampoline.  They ended up at Parks Sports in Orem, Utah.  But before they bought it they made sure that they called me to make sure it was the right one.  The kids were so excited and all worked with Davy to put it together.  They love the trampoline and can't wait for it to get warm enough to start having sleepovers on it.

Easter

We had a very fun and busy Easter.  We decided to have an Easter party early because of Spencers and Kelly's Wedding.  So on Tuesday we invited all of the Stoddard cousins over for a party. 

Coloring Easter eggs.  Everyone got 6 eggs each.  They were sure yummy to eat the rest of the week.

We decorated easter cookies.  Dally made hers look just like an easter egg.

Brett made this cute Easter centerpiece.  I think he did a fabolous job. 

The kids also found their Easter baskets on Sunday.  They each got a toy and lots of candy.  We love Easter and the meaning of it.  I also love when Easter comes becuase I love to see everything bloom.

Spencer & Kelly's Wedding

Spencer and Kelly were married on April 7, 2012 in the Salt Lake Temple.  It was a beautiful day.  Alot of family and friends were in attendance at the temple.  After the temple we got all of those fun family pictures and then it was off to the Joseph Smith reception center for their reception.  We had a sit down dinner and great entertainment.  It was so fun to be with family and friends and I am so happy they are finally married. 

Our family was so big that we overfilled the steps at the temple.  We are not really that good with taking pictures.

My girls couldn't wait to get a picture with the beautiful bride.  They love their aunt Kelly.

Bronco loves his aunt Lollie and uncle Josh.  He made sure that he helped push Lollie around the temple.

Our first blog

My children have been begging me to create a blog about our family.  They enjoy looking at their friends and family blogs and really want to read about our family and their stories.  I know that this will be a great idea for me to start blogging so that we can keep a journal of our busy lives.  I am grateful that they have talked me into this blog.  I hope that I can just live up to their expectations on what they think a good blog should look like.
